Peplink MAX BR1 Pro 5G

After many many hours and and two great tech support folks from Waveform I never got the Peplink to work. The software seemed glitchy and the router was just too complicated. So terrible for the Peplink. I did keep the Antenna and it is working great with a T-Mobile gateway and Waveform was super about the return.

Easy to order and works great

I live in a rural area where cell coverage is bad and DSL is the only choice for Internet. I purchased the MAX BR1 Pro 5G and the 4x4 MIMO antenna as an attempt to supplement the DSL. The first time I hooked up the MAX and antenna it actually worked very well. All I did was stand the antenna on the roof and somewhat pointed it where I believed the cellular signal was coming from. I got 25Mbps. I can't wait to try this setup at a place on my property (a hundred yards from the house) that I have been getting 45Mbps on a cell phone. I haven't tried the Max and MIMO antenna at that location yet because I have to design and build a solar charged battery system to power the Max and a high power WiFi system to beam the internet to our house from the Max. I know the high power WiFi system works because I built one to beam the DSL internet from the house to our barn. Waveform made the ordering process VERY easy. So far, I am extremely pleased with the experience.

Best Rural Solution when 5G available

I have average technical skills and was able to get my Max BR1 Pro 5G set up and maximized in a matter of hours. Using the band locking technology was easy and once tuned in has given me consistent and out standing internet access via T-Mobile.
