G5 Merino Wool Toddler Car Seat

Bulkier to swivel, but still convenient!

I think this just comes with the nature of our babies growing 🥲, but the toddler seat is harder for me to swivel as needed than the infant seat. The swivel is a key selling point why we invested in the Orbit system, so we like that it's still available, it's just not as seamless as with the infant seat. Overall, our growing baby is still comfortable in the seat and SAFE, so we love it!

First, the toddler seat came damaged, we reached out and another one was shipped. Minor inconvenience. The base of the toddler seat is too wide to sit flush to the bottom on the cars seat bottom, the bolsters don’t allow the toddler seat to sit flat. Without the use of a base it does not feel as secure, primarily using the seatbelt only as the security allows the seat to teeter from the left side. The quality isn’t there compared to the infant seat with base. Also this seat is so big it’s a huge hassle to get the child in and out of the seat, it barely fits in the car (Mercedes Eclass). Design team needs to work on some changes before I would recommend.

Baby is comfortable in hot temps.

We live in south Texas and have two of these seats in wool. They don’t get as hot as some other seats with cheaper fabric. Seating position is perfect, and we love the little cup holder that it comes with. Highly recommended!
