Fit for purpose

Bought two lamps. Installed in enclosed and sealed light fittings in boat engine room. They draw less current so less deterioration in wires and less heat so ideal for this situation. Sadly one failed after less than 10 hours but was replaced without fuss which builds great loyalty. Its bright enough though not hugely different to the tungsten filament. They are pricey but my experience in outdoor security lighting has seen them being very reliable despite frequent switching. I would buy again.

In two minds

Ordered 3 bulbs, came swiftly, easy ordering, but I had chosen incorrectly (completely my fault) so emailed asking to confirm. Very helpful prompt reply confirming I'd picked the wrong type. However when I then responded thanking and asking if I could return the one bulb we hadn't ordered, no reply at all. So bit disappointed nobody replied. I wil just recycle the bulb now but customer service could be improved - even if answer was non returnable. Shame.
