I thought I’d finally found Pfaltzgraff flatware for replacement pieces of a set I’d purchased 20 years ago! The only identifying mark on original pieces was the word “Pfaltzgraff” and of course, the handle pattern. So I was very excited to find as set on the website and ordered two sets of what strongly appeared to be the same flatware. I naturally assumed since I was on a Pfaltzgraff website - the flatware was in fact Pfaltzgraff. What I received was a very similar set of Mikasa flatware that is a cheap imitation. My husband unboxed the sets (no small feat), washed and put them away before I realized the mistake a few days later. The weight of the Mikesa set is noticeably lighter, some of the sizes do not match, and the original set has a satin finish on the handles. My naive mistake and lesson learned!
