Stainless Steel Drybox Hinge (Single Hinge)

S/S DRYBOX HINGE

After having to replace several sets of the plastic drybox hinges on other Engel Drybox/Coolers, I ordered the S/S Hinges when buying a New drybox/cooler. Don't know why they don't just install the S/S hinges especially given what they charge for a drybox/cooler!

Great hinges. Nicely finished stainless steel with no sharp edges. Perfectly matches the front stainless steel latches. Makes one wonder why these aren’t standard on a $100 lunchbox. Hinges DO NOT come with additional screws, so if you lost your original screws when the plastic hinges broke, plan on spending more money searching for replacing them. And then the shipping really kills the deal. Shipping was fast, but expensive for such a small and light package. All in all, close to $20 to replace the hinges on a $100 lunchbox that should have come standard. I remember when these lunchboxes were available in sporting goods stores for $35 just a couple years ago. Engle should really think about making the stainless hinges standard after raising the prices almost 3x what they used to sell for.

Bought cooler/dry box 10 years ago for my work lunch box. I work for railroad and we live out of these things. Hinges finally broke and gave up. Metal is by far better and easy to install. These coolers are priced high but you throw this thing around as much as i do and you'll be impressed
