Unable to reach the knob for swivel seat and tension on Stepper is extremely tight even on 1. How long will it take for the Stepper to loosen up?

Defective Item with Poor Follow Up

This machine looked perfect for my elderly mother, who broke both knees in a bad fall. However, we received a defective item and HCI has been less than helpful. The item came mostly assembled, including where the pistons are attached. However, instead of there being resistance when you push/press your foot on the pedal, all the resistance is when pulling your leg inward/bending the knee. This obviously doesn’t make sense and I know the product is not meant to work like this because the video shows people using it without the foot straps, which would be impossible with the machine I received. After reaching out multiple times and having to send a video because they apparently didn’t understand what I meant, they sent out replacement pistons only…even though I told them they were preassembled and we have zero instructions on how to install them. I let them know again once I received the replacement pistons. Someone said they’d get back to me but I’m still waiting. Very disappointed.
