It is exactly what I wanted but is grossly overpriced for what it is!

Veil is the way to go

I was worried the Veil was too thin and not protective enough, but it has really impressed me. I am about to place my 3rd order for a Veil in 1 year, for reference. I have absolutely destroyed these cases so far with extreme wear and drops. The worst was a 4ft fall at 35mph where it slid on the road for another ~30ft. One corner of the case was fractured and the lip on the front screen was cracked as well. The phone itself got a small scuff under the fractured corner. After that fall, I concluded the Veil can handle my use case for at least 1 hard accident per case, and that is absolutely worth $30 to me. As for aesthetics, it checks every box I could dream of. The soft texture and finger-feel embraces the Gaussian style of iOS and just completes the handheld experience of Apple products. It feels perfect for the phone and looks the part.
