Stay out of the pit!

This book will have you feeling a lot of things in a short amount of time. But it's a heck of a ride with a nice little twist. Every book I've read by this author includes author notes at the end and that makes me love his writing even more. You can tell that his stories are part of him and he puts his heart into everything he writes.

Dont Read And Eat

Well, Nik did it again following a story about Officer Standoff and his search for his daughter, Jenny. I was like, oh, this could get interesting then, of course, we meet Cleo, who reminds me of the fat vampire from the movie Blade. Nikolas spares no expense with the gross making me crawl out of my skin. The part where he has to fight in a pit of filth to get information on his daughter's whereabouts. Eeeeeee all gross, but the reveal of Cleo’s identity and her relationship to Standoff makes the subsequent demand she makes all the worse. On the plus side, this one had a happy ending, but the gross and disturbing nature of getting there means you need a bloody strong stomach. A well written, fast-paced story that makes me want to read more of Nik’s future projects on an empty stomach.
