So Easy!
Had been using henna with indigo to darken my naturally medium color blah brown hair but developed a sensitivity that caused an itchy scalp. Searched for a black dye without PPD and found Manic Panic Raven. So easy to use, awesome color and my hair and scalp feel nourished. Definitely a bit messy with application but I imagine it will get easier the more I do it…I suggest you purchase their wipes to help. Seems to cover the few grey strands I have as well, hurray. I did not lighten my hair pre-application but still achieved a dark glossy black from this raven amplified in just 45 minutes. Really happy it is cruelty free also!

Thank you!
You all are the gold standard in my book! An added bonus is that the colors hold to my old white person hair. It’s a little tricky getting my target saturation value now that my base color has fewer tertiary components so I chose some yellows to mix up the shading. I like to go in a pastel direction, ombreging from a pastel blue/black to pink but with subtle accidental transitional tints like hints of purple or blue/green so I mix the tints with conditioner to dilute. I really don’t like my natural hair color right now as I ease into old age white. My natural dark tresses are now this washed out mucky color so having a reliable option for tinting is such an up lift. My current tinting has been fading very nicely for about. . 5 or 6 weeks? But it’s due for a refresh. Selfies aren’t showing the ombre well enough to share. .
