One piece design may not have the same flaw my first case had

I was a backer on kickstarter and I just replaced my first mous case with this one. My first one started splitting on the side and it seemed the retention mechanism became full of broke off. This case seems to be a single piece and as long as the case is as durable as my first one, I see myself being pleased for another decade at least. Plus I like how it looks when the flashlight is on.
