Elastic waistband has a smooth fit- no diaper butt. Fabric not too heavy. Well made. Could be an inch longer. I took them in along the inseam and crotch for a slimmer fit (I carry my weight around my middle and have thinner thighs and hips). Nice slight barrel shape. The only pair of chino/cargo I have kept in 25 years.

The length is perfect for average height. If you are getting weighed for whatever reason, knock off a few numbers, as they are a bit weighty, yet not problematic.
