The sides of the runners flip up - we tried steaming does not work

This is a really pretty rug but when we rolled it out there were numerous runs/defects in it (see photos). Customer service initially offered $40 off which I think is lame for a $475 rug. I may exchange for a new one depending on shipping costs to return this one.

This rug goes perfectly with our new floors! It brightens the room and is durable enough to handle little kids and two dogs.
