I started using the airbrush in 1979 when I saw a fellow at a county fair illustrating T-shirts. I was fascinated by it and he let me be his gopher for the week and in payment he gave me a Passche H1 with a hose set up to use an auto tyre as an air source. I taught myself and have made a great career with it...unorthodox, but great - I fix objects that break and create custom finishes to make the repairs disappear. However, to quote the late great Terry Hill when I took a class at an Airbrush Getaway, "You do good work, but you'd do a whole lot better if you used the tool correctly." Dru Blair's system involves muy much more than colour theory and special paper, it starts with a solid foundation of understanding the correct utilisation of the tool. Correct foundational technique allows for innovation, but without a correct foundation there is no way to find your way back to baseline when you're lost. The foundation course is a perfect reference guide for the experienced airbrush artist to "reset" to base...to clean the shop and reorganise. If you are a beginner, this reference guide will always be your baseline.
