The wife doesn’t like them because she tears the top edge when opening the seal. You do have to be careful not to tear the top edge when unsealing the bag. Wife even grip eliminates the problem, but if you are in a hurry, opps!

I tried another brand’s bags but they were too flimsy and fragile meaning they tore as I tried to open them. These are good bags and I don’t spend much time opening them. I keep coming back for more.

I use these to put compostable materials in. Put in the freezer every other day or so. Then a compost collector comes by every week and collects them. They would also be fine for plain trash if only dry stuff is put in. Anything wet or moist and they start decomposing too soon.
