new fav all time pen. writes like a ball point but holds like a fancy pen.

Cute but disappointing

I love 1970s aesthetic and have found Hightide products to be good quality in the past, so I swallowed my reservations about the price, but I'm underwhelmed and feel a little silly for splurging when I knew better. The pen is very, very slight and the clicker is pretty plasticky-feeling, although it works just fine. Ink flow consistently skips on the first stroke and the sticker on the pen body left persistent residue that ruins its appearance, the only reason I would spend this much on a ballpoint. For half what I paid, I think I might find it still a little expensive but reasonable. Now I see the price has gone up a dollar since I bought mine and I just don't think it's worth that. (However, I want to be clear that this is not a criticism of the shop itself; they're great and they handled my order with care.)
