Multi purpose - no embers and an end-table

When using the Breo more frequently and not covering it with the full cloth cover, this works fantastic to ensure any embers still going are safely covered. Plus it works great to keep out the elements as well as providing a surface to use as an outdoor side table for drinks, plates, etc when not in use.

Great accessory that actually gets used

Picked this up along with my X24 and it's turned out to be more useful than I expected. It's handy for damping down the fire when I want to call it a night without waiting around for the flames to die out completely. Just a few minutes with the lid on and things cool off fast. It's also been great for keeping rain out of the pit. Before I had the lid, I'd end up with a puddle of water and soggy ash sitting in the bottom after a storm, which was a pain to clean out before the next fire. Now I just leave the lid on when it's not in use and the inside stays dry. Fit is snug and it matches the stainless finish of the pit perfectly, so it looks like it was designed as one unit, which I guess it was. Solid weight to it too, doesn't feel flimsy or like an afterthought accessory. Only minor gripe is it gets hot, obviously, so you need gloves or a good pair of tongs to handle it once it's been on the fire. Other than that, it's been a great addition and I'd recommend grabbing one if you already have the pit.

Great Father’s Day gift

I bought this as a Father’s Day gift for my husband; all I can say is I wish we had purchased it sooner! It looks great and keeps the rain and debris out.
