New Talat Set

The new set arrived and I've tried it out with my friends. They're overwhelmed by the craftsmanship in the case. It's a beautiful thing and there's so much attention to detail in the overall design. I like the surface inlay that comes with the set but I don't see the same inlay for sale on the website. Is there a way to order the same inlay so I have a spare? My friends like the checkers but I didn't completely. They feel a little light and don't have the gravitas I'd expect with so fine a set. Finally, I'm not a fan of the marketing on the 64 side of the doubling cube. The case itself has the logo, why put it on the doubling cube? I'd like to get lost in the game without looking at an advertisement. I plan on using a doubling cube from another set. All in all, it's a very fine set indeed. I'm very happy with the purchase but do have the few concerns noted above.

absolutely fantastic and stunning board, accessories are great, the layouts look stunning in the board. the board had its 1st outing last saturday at a local tournament, the board itself is slightly bigger that my Monte Carlo board by a few centimetres and was noticeable when trying to reach across the board to move checkers, however after sometime i soon got used it this adjustment. lots of great comments from other players aswell. so far its well worth the price i paid during the black month offer, which saved me 20% on the listed price. so one very happy backgammoner. :)

Absolutely gorgeous!

Wow - what a beautiful board! The feel of the pieces, the quality of the wood and finish, and fact that we can swap out playing surfaces - all of these elements elevate the experience of enjoying backgammon in our home. Service was very courteous, and shipment to the US took three days. THREE. DAYS. I was so amazed that it arrived so quickly, and we are certain that it will become an heirloom/legacy piece for our family. Thank you guys for being so awesome!
