It takes some practice to get accustomed to this tool, but using a straight edge and becoming accustomed to the speed with which you move the cutter through the material will give you good results. Free-form cutting with a mark-up on the material is more difficult; if you don't have a steady hand, the results are just okay. There are no hints written into the instructions, proper ventilation is necessary when cutting because there is a little bit of smoke/vapor that smells of plastic, and you must be very careful to let the heating element cool off once you are done.
