Very Disappointing Sampler

I wanted to brush up on my embroidery skills after several decades away. I was excited to get this, because the sampler showed such a wide variety of stitches. I was disappointed because: 1) The two needles included with the kit had eyes too small to be threaded with the provided embroidery floss, even with a needle threader. 2) There was not enough of a blank border above and below the sampler sections to accommodate my own embroidery hoop (personally I want/need a larger hoop than that provided) 3) The marking for some of the stitches was inadequate or not appropriate for beginners. For example, the long and short stitch needed another line in the middle, and the narrow parts of some of the herringbone stitches were too short for embroidery floss (and a beginner). 4) The marking for the the stitches is overall sloppy and unprofessional looking. 5) The videos were no more professional than I can find for free online. I definitely think this kit was overpriced, and I'm annoyed I paid so much for it.

To learn each stitch with full demonstration has meant a lot to me. I am enjoying this so much!

30 Days of Fun

I bought this kit to refresh my embroidery skills as I had not embroidered in decades. My cousin decided to buy a kit as well so we had a stitch-a-long. So much fun and most days took less than 15 minutes to complete. The videos accompanying the kit are very helpful! My cousin and I are now working our way through Volume 2.
