Advantages in clock weight and functions are probably worth the cost increase compared to the ZMF-II. The latest feature is the ability to set controls with any mobile phone equipped with NFC capability. All other functions are the same as the ZMF-II model. Two AA batteries are used on the Tap N Set instead of four C type required for the ZMF-II’s brighter display. The Tap N Set has a hollow body design at the rear, grasping the clock can cause control buttons underneath the top edge to be inadvertently pressed. The model I chose has touch style pads rather than push buttons. Overall I prefer Tap N Set though the ZMF-II display is brighter.
