Very cozy, stretchy pants

These pants are supreme in every way. I appreciate that they do NOT have the EZ waist (internal, elastic waistband) and find them to be much more comfortable and soft against your skin. The gussets, stitching, and knee gores are all top notch. Now that I know how stretchy these are, I would have bought a size smaller than I usually wear and went from an 18 to a 16. Note to Dovetail: I would be willing to pay a premium price to buy pants made with American materials and produced in a more ethical, worker-friendly country than China.

I bought the 14s because I'm in between 12 & 14 and it's roomier than I anticipated, but in experience with the other canvas materials, If I wash it in the dryer it will shrink a little and I think that will be perfect. I love how warm they are with the fleece lining. I love that they are my warmest pants and I love that they are big enough i could put a thin base layer underneath and tolerate these -20 degree temps! They are very hardy and make me feel prepared for the day, I want 10 more pair! Also I love all of the pockets and rivets. and the crotch gusset! Yea, I can squat without worrying about it.

Fantastic pants

I work heavy construction in all weather conditions. Mud, concrete, dust, debris, rain, snow.... The worst of the worst. These pants are a godsend. They're incredibly comfortable and warm. I've been wearing these with a pair of terry sweats underneath in single digits weather this past week and have been impressed with their ability to block the wind. They seem to be a bit more durable than their canvas and denim counterparts as well. The one thing I love on the x models is the leg zipper and wish all your pants had that. 2 features id love to see updated/added: reinforce the lip of the tape clip to make it more rigid and easier to clip a tape there, adjust the hammer loop so my hammer doesn't fall out after it loosens up. The new sizing is generous but that's perfect for this type of work, superior to whatever sizing system y'all used to use.
