Electro-Harmonix 6SN7

I rolled out a pair of PVANE Classics because they were not detailed enough to my taste. With these new EH tubes I definitely got an improvement. The soundstage is larger and the highs are sweeter, smoother. But also sharp with a greater ease toward being more revealing without being too glassy. Bass is better defined. There is a whiff of legendary old school tubes about their sound.

A great upgrade over stock Tungsol tubes for the Schiit Freya for the gain stage side (right side)

Wow what an upgrade to my Schiit Lyr+ versus the tube shipped with it. Clearer, more open. More “air” response in the music. Love it can’t recommend it more.
