Why a double basket? Darker roasts!

I like experiencing and optimizing espresso with different degrees of roast. A Triple basket is great for lighter roasts (just past first crack) which require fine grinds and very long, slow shots. But for darker roasts (just before, and up to 2nd crack) that treatment doesn't result in the sweetest shots, and instead a double basket with a slightly less-fine grind, and 24-26 second shots, produces the sweet, chocolatey shots you're after with a darker roast espresso. This basket was great for helping me experience the latter.

This nice, inexpensive basket is a massive improvement over the stock version that came in my machine.
