I started these seeds in my greenhouse and will keep them in there for winter harvest. Seedlings look really great so far

Beats the heck out of store bought

I've grown several different "crops" now, all in my basement with LED lights. It's a great way to grow, especially since lettuce is a cool weather crop. It gets quite cold where I live (NC) but the basement stays about the same no matter the outside temp. I do use a heat mat to aid in the germination, but once the lettuce has a good start it grows fine under the lights. It has always been sweet and tender (none of the bitterness you sometimes get with store bought Romaine) Germination rate has always been great too.
