Placement of Handles

When loading and unloading the canoe I like to carry the pack by handles that have the back and shoulder straps facing up so as not to trip on trailing straps. I would prefer a handle right below where the belt crosses the padding instead of (or in addition to) the one on the front bottom of the pack.

Disappointed in lack of water proofing

I was already aware that water could come in through the draw string top of the pack if it got submerged, but on a recent trip to Quetico I dropped a pack in a foot of water and the contents got wet just through the bottom. This pack focuses on how to keep things in more than how to keep water out.

An excellent canoe pack. Obviously designed by canoeists for canoeists … thoughtfully placed cinches down each side to tighten the pack around the load, carrying/ lifting handles at each end to aid lifting in and out of the canoe, top closures to ensure pack is closed snuggly, and the obvious ‘custom fitting’ of the harness system. Field testing it on a French River trip rigjt now!! Well done.
