Engage X2
Still not totally sure about this paddle. I have always used engage paddles. This one has more pop - I don't think it has as much power as my other engage paddle and was hoping it would. I am still not sure if I like it better then the one I have been playing with.

Pick up and play
I recently returned to playing with Engage after the launch of the X2. The switch from a very loud and explosive paddle to the X2 with its soft feel while retaining power was so easy. Within a few game points it felt familiar and comfortable. This provided me confidence to go out and explore the playing possibilities of this new generation Engage. I can't quite put my finger on it - but it's different in a good way!

I'm in on this one! (X2)
I held off on reviewing this paddle as I wanted to get in some break-in/play time. And I do believe it requires a little break-in time. Also, I'm coming from the Apha-Pro 14mm and the X2 is 16mm, so I needed a bit of time to adjust. Fast forward and it's been 2 months of solid play and it just keeps getting better. From the jump I felt the X2 had more control and was a little more forgiven. I'm an okay/older player (3. 78DUPR/Age 56), so I needed the bigger sweet-spot. Being that it was 16mm, for me, it didn't have the same "pop" and felt very light. almost too balanced i. e. no head weight. I added a little weight to the top half of the paddle and that was key in getting the extra power. In doing that, I didn't lose any control, as a matter of fact I think it helped because I noticed less head twist. Overall it took a little time and tunning but I'm EXTERMELY HAPPY with the X2!!!!!
