Love them but sizing is off for slides

I absolutely love these slides. They’re beautiful and can easily be dressed up or down. My only complaint is that they don’t come in half sizes, and I found the sizing chart to be inaccurate—or at least very different—for the slides. I own other Beek shoes, and the sizing has been consistent in those styles. I wear a size 7 perfectly in Beek sandals with ankle straps, and I’m a true 7½ in their ballet flats (with a small heel cushion for my slightly smaller foot). With these slides, however, my foot fits properly when I’m standing or trying them on around the house. The problem starts once I actually begin walking. My foot gradually slides backward, leaving my heel hanging off the back of the shoe. This has now happened with my second pair of Beek slides. The first pair was returned, and Beek’s customer service was excellent—they believed that pair may have been defective. I was hesitant to order an 8 because I was afraid it would look too big or clunky, especially with the slight platform. In hindsight, I should have sized up. If you’re a true half size like I am, I would recommend ordering the next full size up in the slides. I marked these as running small, but that’s only in relation to the sizing chart and specifically for the slide style. I hope this review helps someone avoid the frustration and expense of ordering the wrong size.

I am fortunate enough to have several pairs of Beeks but the pelicans are by far my favorite pair. Have been eyeing them for quite some time now and they did not disappoint. Love my pelicans 💕
