Excellent design, but does not last long term
I bought an Ultamid 2 eight years ago that came with 6 stakes. Just in this last year in hard ground, the caps have started popping off the stakes when trying to pull them out of the ground. I've lost three stakes to this in the past year. The cap must be glued to the stake which I'm guessing loses its bond over time. I really like these stakes though so I'm thinking of just buying some more and changing them out as the old ones break. I would araldite the caps back on if I could manage to get the capless stakes out of the ground. They would be a much better product if the cap was somehow integral with the stake. Love Hyperlite MG though!!
