Newer Version OK, but Older Design was better

I purchased an American Giant hoodie around 4-5 years ago, knowing the sizing from reviews I bought a size larger than I usually would, and enjoyed the fit and style. My old hoodie is starting to fall apart so I went to purchase a newer one, again buying a size larger than I usually would. I still like the product but the fit is a lot different than my previous version. The sleeves are weirdly longer and the waist is no longer the slimmer fit that I very much enjoyed previously, which was one of the main draws to the hoodie in the first place. The newer version just feels a lot boxier and fit is more poor overall, but materials still feel quality.
