Tankograd presents a pictorial history of the various British Army units preparing for their roles as both defensive and offensive forces training with their armoured fighting vehicles from 1970 nearly to present times. Most exercises used tanks and vehicles, such as the Chieftain tank and Alvis Stalwart 6 x 6 all wheel drive high mobility support truck (both no longer in service). Some exercises focused on the deployment, strategic and tactical build of forces; whereas many others were live fire tactical training operations. 64 pages of mainly colour photographs, often taken by the personnel taking part in the exercises.
