I had an off-brand plastic vial that leaked flour gold out from the plastic cap threads, and distortions in the molded plastic along with scratches inside clouded the view of the gold. These glass vials have a gasket in the cap so they don't leak, and the clear glass provides a great view of the gold. The case protects the vials from breakage, a great combination!
