Sturdy and well-designed

Sherpa provides no instructions, and the photos on the website leave much to the imagination. But hear this: Somebody put a lot of thought into these brackets. They're designed so that you can rotate them to face the sky while installing your awning. Mount the brackets to your rack; rotate the brackets 90* so they're facing up instead of out; this is the key part>>rest your awning on the brackets while bolting it to the brackets instead of awkwardly trying to hold the bracket in one arm while mating the bolts and mounting holes with the other; rotate the brackets and awning down to the "deployed" position and tighten the bracket bolts. Maybe that's not what the designer intended (there are no instructions . . .), but it works and works very well. The brackets are expensive for what they are, but they are sturdy and well-made, and they made installing and removing my awning much easier. Now if I could just figure out how to quiet the wind noise from my Crestone . . . .

Mount fitment not as I had hoped

Edited review. Christian reached out and took care of me. I received the mounts, and like everything else the quality seemed great. Then I finally got a chance to install them, and the awning is held so far off the side of the rack. With zero installed photos on the product page so there was no way to know about the fitment. Quality product, but not the fitment I was going for.
