Superb Jacket

This is my second Gold Top jacket and once again I am so impressed with the quality and fit. The leather is thick and supple and it is a perfect jacket for on and off the bike.

My favourite

Over the years I have had several Goldtop jackets, to suit different bikes and because I lost a lot of weight and needed to “downsize”. All have been exceptionally well made from top quality materials. The service from Goldtop has also always been top quality. This is my favourite jacket, though. I particularly like: the higher collar, both stylistically and to keep draughts off my neck; the central zip, which I find easier to do up; and the leather tab over the bottom of the zip, which provides some protection for the bike’s tank. Goldtop jackets are designed to be snug but loosen up with wear. Even so, when in doubt go up a size. It is also worth getting slimline ghost or, better still, diablo armour and a Knox back protector. This armour is more comfortable, lighter and retains the jacket’s clean lines. There is one minor thing that would make the jacket even better and that is a little more room at the cuffs, both to go over wristwatches and to accommodate gloves. But, as I said, this is a small thing and I highly recommend this - and indeed all - Goldtop jackets. You won’t find better.

BEST JACKET I HAVE EVER OWNED

Many moons ago, late 70's I bought what was then considered the epitome of bike jackets, a Lewis Leathers. It lived up to its reputation in every department and I only parted with it when I grew out of it. I have since then owned quite a few jackets but never been really comfortable with any of them until now. This jacket is superb in every respect and the quality is beyond compare, I had long ago forgotten what it felt like to put a jacket on and feel it become a part of me as this one does. Goldtop is now my go to for riding gear.
