I’m still in the military and just turned 40. I’ve always been very particular about socks, coming from the infantry with tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, but now that I’m older, I’ve been on a mission to find the best pair. I decided to buy a few pairs of these just to give them a try. Within the first few hours of wearing them on the first day, I jumped back on the Darn Tough website and ordered enough for a week, a few backups, and some for my close Battle Buddies. These socks have exceeded my expectations. Paired with some massage insoles, they’ve been an absolute game changer. I walk on clouds now. BTW, I’ve tried all of the other brands of socks (Hawx, Red Wing, Carhartt, and Fox River). None of these stand a chance against Darn Tough. I pack light, so I threw all of those other socks away just to make Darn Sure I only wear Darn Tough. If you’re tempted, do yourself a favor- just buy them. You’ll be amazed.

The T4021 might be the pair of socks I wear most often, but the T4022 are my go to pair when rucking under heavier loads or when the weather gets slightly cooler. The full cushion provides plenty of comfort and warmth while also being moisture wicking.

Very well made socks, They have just enough cushion in the soles for my flat feet to feel comfortable all day in my combat boots. 50 in the morning and 70 in the afternoon and no complaints about my feet being to cold or hot. Work outside all day and cant complain about anything as of this time.
