Comfortable and they Stay Up

These socks are very comfortable and I do like the cushion. They stay up surprisingly well. Not the best choice for summertime, but I will still wear them with my black pants. They’re not tight or constricting.

Look. Just buy the socks. Micro Crew is what you want for trail running, and you don't want more cushion than Lightweight for a couple of reasons, including ensuring you don't train the wrong biomechanics. Buy shoes that have the BOA Li2 dials for the lace system, go to a local shop that has a "gait analysis" pad, and work on achieving left to right balance as much as possible. Then go win some events in your Darn Tough. There are many great patterns to choose from, from these staid tactical ones, to delightful "forest meme" selections. I wish they made more of the latter in men's sizes, but don't worry, I already e-mailed them about that. "You're welcome!" I may, in the end, need a larger sock drawer.

BLUF: Buy them

Excellent socks. Perfect for long days in boots in various climates. Hold their shape, dry quickly, feel sturdy and comfortable but not too heavyweight. Can’t go wrong.
