Love these socks. Darn Tough never disappoints. To be honest, I don’t notice a major difference between this pair and any of the other Darn Tough socks I own with this length and cushion. If the length is the same and it has a cushion it’s all kinda the same in my opinion. That said, that cushion rocks. I wear Darn Tough for work all the time and even when I’m on my feet for 8 hours, my feet feel drastically better in these socks. My goal is to slowly replace my whole sock collection with this brand. Highly recommend. I guess I would say, that I always order the large because I wear a size 10. 5-11 shoe and the ankle piece does frequently go higher up on my heel. But I’m not that bothered by that.

I have worn them for work in field boots, around every day, and out hiking, and they are dialed for all of it. True to size. The Micro Crew height is perfect with boots, tall enough to clear the top without riding up or sagging down. The construction is solid and well made, no loose knit and no bulky seams. They are lightweight, so my feet stay dry and cool inside a boot instead of getting hot and swampy. Best part, zero hot spots. No rubbing, no problem areas, even on longer days. I have not run them on an actual hunt yet, but that is the plan. I am stocking up to use these as my early-season bow-hunt stalking stockings, light and quiet and comfortable for slow miles on the stalk.
