Steelhead seem to like these. In PA, where smolt are stocked in the spring, this will put some distance between you and the smolt. The smolt will hit these, but only leave teeth marks. The only problem I had this year was the durability. Steelhead put up a strong fight with a lot of head shaking. I lost 80 percent of the Killer Crawlers during the fights. Discount Tackle got these to me quickly and I thank them for that.

Great Trout Alternative Bait

I've been using these for trout the past 2 years and love them. No need to buy worms when you can buy these and they lost longer. They are the perfect length as opposed to a real earthworm that can stretch to over 4 inches and they break easier. I love trolling them with or without a dodger/flasher behind my kayak. Lots of great hookups and big Mt. Lassen trout caught on these :-)
