Made the perfect lunch box!
I used the Bette pattern to make my son a new lunch box. He love pizza and eats it for lunch every day (he is an adult with disabilities). He loves his new lunch box and my post on social media got lots of positive feedback. The video was really helpful in the construction steps. I used an insulated lining plus batting to give it shape. I also used a Sallie Tomato zipper and unicorn zipper pulls to make it super special for him.

I found it mostly easy. But I must have flipped to the front page to decide the abbreviations and mostly the ABCDEFGH…… letters 20 times. Be nice to have a decode in the corner of each page as the pieces are used.
A reference to how to use zipper by the yard would been good but I found it. My zipper did not have a lead as it was cut from the spool at the show, video did not address that but I got it.
Because of this I wouldn’t class this as beginner. The sewing part was easy but I’m not sure how two layers of cork would turn inside out any better than 2 of vinyl.
I also have the Carlton to sew I will know more when I make Betty and it the next time. My first Sallie Tomato.
I’m a happy buyer.
