Great device for picking up sound

This pen works very well. Removed one star due to the short distance required to capture an understandable sound. Eight feet is the maximum length required to interpret legible voices. When recording sound at the required length, the sound is clear with good volume.

Records Well, But...

This one was a bit more challenging for my 'old school' technically challenged brain. I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable lending the pen to anyone as an actual writing instrument due to the push down button not making it a functional pen, therefore would provoke questions about the push button as you explain it needs to be twisted to write with rather than pushing the button. I also had to learn how to open the wav files into an mp3 format before I could listen to the recordings. I haven't yet made friends with the earplug connector, but hope to conquer that eventually. That may just been a me thing. It's definitely handy to have, works really well at recording, and is easy to clip to a handbag, to a shirt pocket, etc. The thumb drive option on this site has been the easiest, for me, to master.
