Esterbrook Pens should be frank and let people know that the Estie is a hefty pen sized for a man's hand. I have a slender woman's hand and will never be able to use it. Most pen company's mention the scale of the pen. I bought this pen because there was a review from a feminine-looking woman included, so I figured the pen would work if she'd bought it and liked it so much. It will not work for me. It is clearly a masculine pen. I didn't appreciate the Estie being represented so inaccurately. They should mention the type of person it would most suit. At any rate, because I was unable to open the package for so long, I will not be able to return it. I am in my seventies. The pen looked beautiful and I thought I'd treat myself. If I had a man in my life, this handsome pen would make him a thrilling gift, but my husband passed away last August. I am handicapped and I have been unwell and was only able to open the shipping package yesterday. Imagine my disappointment at receiving such a beautiful pen that I will never be able to use. This pen is most unsuitable for an old lady's hand.

Beautiful pen. I have the journaler nib, and the pen writes smoothly and on the wet side. It currently has “A Star Spattered Hill” inked, and handles the heavy shimmer without a problem. I could not be more pleased.

Such a fun nib! I am still learning how to angle it for the best writing experience but I love it! And the honeycomb is so pretty! I maybe a little obsessed with this company & their Estie pens :)
