This lure out fishes every other lure in my tackle box (including Rapala shad raps and tail dancers) by 3 - 5 x. I also replace the front treble hook with a VMC bladed treble hood to provide some extra attraction. Early spring the bass like crawdad and then in late spring through summer silver or silver flash becomes the go to color. If the water is murky I'll typically fish the firetiger pattern. If I need it to run deeper in the summer I put a 1/16 or 3/32 trolling weight about 18 inches above the lure. Just a great all around bait.

This lure is still catching fish for the last 3 years, No rattle but still gets hammered at night just like the daytime. When I get to my spots, it is the first lure I throw.
