This is no giant-killer scope, but my gosh it's agreat beginner scope for the price! I bought this with 2 decent eyepieces (ES 62deg 26 & 9mm) and I'm gifting it to a niece of mine. It's very light and easy to pick up. Only downside is you need to balance it in elevation or the vertical will sag on you. (no heavy eyepieces) This is strictly point-N-shoot for beginners, or a great, light travel scope! 5 stars for the PRICE.

I was sent the wrong telescope, and customer service figured it out. They sent out a replacement right away. Thanks!!

This beginner telescope is one of the better performance-to-dollar achromatic refractors on the market today. A great choice for those looking to avoid a hobby killer at minimal cost. The Twilight Nano mount does lack slow motion controls, but its tension system allows the optical tube to move smoothly without losing the ability to sit firmly on your target. With a slower f/8 focal ratio, this scope experiences less chromatic aberration than many of the other budget/beginner refractors, providing fairly crisp views for an achromat. It was hard to find another telescope, at this price point, with the viewing stability and performance offered by the FirstLight 80mm.
