Fomapan Creative 200 - 35mm Film

Great first B&W roll!

My first black and white roll of film and I'm really pleased with the results. Great price, lovely nostalgic grain. I used it for portraits and landscapes and am happy with both.

A different take on Fomapan

Rather different to the 100 and 400 stocks, this one actually appears to work at box speed, but it pays to be careful to give accurate expoosure. Nice tones and I have found the grain is quite acceptable.

Not great, not terrible

I used a roll of this to test an old 60's Fujica rangefinder (which I was pleasantly surprised to learn was working), though the stock is nothing to write home about. I shot it on sunny days and found that unless there were some very serious shadows around, it lacked contrast. Where other stocks I've used would've given more contrast in well-lit areas, this struggled with more flat shades of grey. When there was drastic shadows, it came out quite nice, but I would definitely be looking at something a little pricier than this for proper shooting and leaving this one just for testing potentially non-working cameras.
