This ring does me much better (i am at a 6g septum) than metal during the coldest times. it doesn't hold the cold as bad which makes my nose run less. I did have an issue where, when pulling the bead out of the ring to put it in, it snapped in half - customer service was excellent and they offered me a replacement without question. I love it and highly recommend

not only is it very attractive but well made. Love the way it looks. This is my second one as I sized up from a 4g to a 2g and I liked it enough to replace it with the new size.
