Great germination rate, awesome for pest control!

I find Alyssum hard to come by in the area I live in, ordered them here and it’s a very generous amount of seeds for the price and they germinate phenomenally well! Will be picking them up here every season!

Sweet alyssum as a cover crop

This year, for the first time, I planted sweet alyssum as a cover crop in my garden. It grew into a fine cover crop, with vine-like stems and pretty, fragrant flowers. When I needed to replant the space, I pulled up the plants by hand, cut them into short pieces, and tilled them under. Also, yesterday I planted sweet alyssum in a bare patch where an evergreen had blown over along the alley behind my property. If that works, I'll likely plant more alyssum along that border.
