Ambrosia Maple Guitar Fingerboard Blank

When I received order of ambrosia maple finger board I ask you about holes in it I was told that holes are normal for species maybe, but it is no good for finger board work, I would take it from a good choice of wood.

I know that the nature of Ambrosia maple means that you have to expect some bug holes, but I thought the ones on this fingerboard, especially considering it was being sold as a fingerboard, were simply too large. I expected pin holes, not 1/16"ish holes.

The color/hue came out a little more red/pink than I was expecting. In addition, there were numerous worm holes throughout the fingerboard piece. The Black Limba neck blank was perfect though!
