The Excellent germination, Butterly love
The Dill seed is to support the Eastern Black Swallowtails in my yard each year…they were a surprise! The flowering plants in garden are mainly to support Monarchs, Hummingbirds, Bees, many other insects, but Eastern Black Swallowtails use them heavily as their nectar sources and they ended up laying eggs (that went to full chrysalis) on the Dill 3 years ago. Dill is one of the foods their caterpillars will eat. Observing this, I have planted Dill following seasons IF they chose to lay eggs, it is ready for the caterpillars to eat. For the unexpected visitors, I rely on and trust West Coast Seeds every year for my dill - quality, germination, reliable shipping - unbeatable.
