Strong and soft
I tested several different stash yarns to weave a turned twill baby blanket. I wanted a thicker, washable cotton that will stay soft with use. Beam 3/2 was the best for this project, it holds up to wear and tear and is softer than the 8/4 cottons that I tried.

Bright and Easy
I am not normally a fan of greens. With that said, this Pistachio makes a lovely accent color. I used just a few threads through my towels for an unexpected pop of color. It worked well with the blues, purples, and pinks that I was using. Beam is a very easy yarn to weave. I have ever only found one tiny know in all of the cones that I have used. The knot is so tiny that I just ignored it. My towels came out beautifully. The knot is practically unnoticeable and the towels are wonderful to use. The beam really absorbs water. I was a beginner (used on my second project) when I began using beam. It is now one of my go-to choices and makes up most of my stash.

Nice Organic Cotton .
I used this 3/2 cotton as the weft in a baby blanket. The color is pretty and blends well with the yarn that I used for the warp. This green organic cotton saved me the trouble of dyeing the natural I had on hand. Plus, it saved me lots of time because I could start weaving right away.
