Looks like good quality material. I won’t start tying big wet flies until October, preparing for steelhead but fanning the feathers tells me there are plenty to pick out of that rump pelt.

I buy these rump patches for the long feathers to tie in a a sub for blue eared pheasant/heron. Typically can get several good ones on a single patch. This one had absolutely zero. Like they were removed intentionally to be strung together. Very disappointing.
