A dream come through
Many moons ago, I received a first gift of pearl necklace from my husband for our 15-th wedding anniversary. They were saltwater 6 mm pearls bought in Hong Kong. Only when I’ve come home and placed them onto a white letter sheet did I see that they were not of the desired white color but rather darkish creamy. Lesson learned 🙁! This time around, I did my homework: I wanted the best in pearls. Depending on the price, it would be Akoya or better yet the best of AAA Akoya - Hanadama pearls. It is hard to choose pearls online - many people write of disappointment. So, I went to the luxury pearls store in my area. They had no Hanadama. I’ve asked to see a good Akoya that they had. The necklaces I was shown in the Princess length (18”) cost over $6000 from the A1 cathegory, large diameter (I’d say 8- 8.5 mm) … and did not have any special luster! Whom to trust with your dream? Well, I’ve asked Google about who is reliable in the pearl jewelry - 3 names came out: stores Tiffany, Mikimoto, online pearl boutique “Pure Pearls”. One look at the first 2 prices - and I’ve almost fainted (30K and up). With “Pure Pearls” pricing scheme, I was able to reach next size (7,5-8mm) in a pearl diameter, than was originally planned. My husband was pleased with what I’ve pointed to (the brick&mortar store has scared him, I think 😀) and we both admired the highly reflective absolutely gorgeous necklace when it quickly arrived. With its assigned unique serial number certifying the Hanadama status by the Japanese lab - the main authority on Hanadamas. Oh, but I did have a silly scare. When the pearls arrived, I still was reading online about the pearls. One of the companies was pushing a “top range” Hanadamas, providing as demo pictures of the definitely rose colored pearls. “Oh, but mine are white! As I wanted! Did I make a mistake by not pursuing the “top range” with another company?” In the bright day light, I took my new pearls to the window and smiled: the pearls were white but of a very slight baby-pink overtone against the white velvet lining of the jewelry box it arrived in. This color is the most common for them and is natural - no treatments are applied. They were true Hanadamas!

Beautiful Pearls, Helpful Website
I decided I wanted to purchase a pearl necklace for my wife's Christmas present, but wasn't sure where to buy. I found the Pure Pearls website and reviewed the great information the provided there. That knowledge gave me the confidence to make my purchase. I bought an 18" Handakama pearl necklace, which arrived just a few days after my order was placed. The necklace is absolutely gorgeous and I am REALLY excited to see my wife's face when I give it to her. The necklace came in a beautiful box with the appraisal and credentialing paperwork. Totally professional at every level and I feel like I got the pearls at a terrific price! I highly recommend this company!
